Engineering and Technical Solutions
Adapticom provides
Mechanical Design
and Mechanical engineering services for companies with
a shortfall in engineering resources.
Adapticom fills the gaps in client company resources, providing turnkey project delivery, and providing consulting services during
ventures into new markets.
The
Adapticom team
of experienced engineering professionals represents a variety of industries and backgrounds. We have
combined our hardware, software, and product development talents to reduce your costs, improve your time to market, and save you
from temporarily growing your facilities and personnel.
Mechanical Design
- Industrial Design: Mechanical design and engineering.
-
Detailed mechanical design using state of the art 3D modeling techniques.
- Packaging (utilizing SLA technology, Plastic injection
molding, & Aluminum / Steel bending & milling) for the
integration of machanical electronic designs.
- Mechanical design, modeling, and validation, testing and certifications.
-
Prototypes and proof-of-concept models developed to to "Technology Readiness Level" TRL-6.
Techniques
Adapticom mechanical engineers utilize the latest tools to assist clients in their product development and
mechanical design.
Designs are done in one of several
3D CAD systems. The 3D designs are translated to easy-to-use 3-D models that can be viewed with an Internet Expolorer browser, allowing the
all members of the client's team to stay abreast of design progress. Once the design is mature enough for prototyping, Stereolithography
(SLA) is used to create prototypes constructed from a liquid photopolymer and cured with an ultraviolet laser. The end result is an accurate "one of"
device without the need for expensive tooling.
Mission
Enable your organization to capitalize on our expertise, by
providing engineering outsourcing, consulting services, hardware, software and internet application development services.
Mechanical Engineering Services
We provide contract Engineering Services in the following areas:
- Architecture of Mechanical Subsystems
- Design Implementations Utilizing SLAs
- Initial Mechanical Design
- Complete Prototype Builds
- Assembly - Test & Development
- Raw Material Procurement and Fabrication
- Design for manufacturability
- Bill of Materials (BOM), Initial Development
- Bill of Materials (BOM), Costing and Cost Reduction
- Certifications (Part 15, Part 68) and Mitigation Work
- Other Services
In today’s market, it’s not always necessary or advisable to hire direct or onsite mechanical design personnel. Let our staff handle your engineering workload
and pay only for the engineering work needed. Avoid the payroll expenses related to hiring direct employees, the high cost of onsite
contractors, and the inefficiencies of a periodically idle engineering staff.
Adapticom is local to Raleigh, Durham, RTP, & Chapel Hill North Carolina, and services the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
